ABOUT UT

Urban Tails opened its doors in August 2023 and has quickly become a favorite for pet parents in the Casper area. From Lodging and Day Camp to Enrichment experiences, our goal is to provide elevated, catered care for every guest in our facility--and have fun doing it!

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LODGING COUNSELOR

Most of your day is spent caring for animals, maintaining a clean environment, assisting with feeding and medications, and ensuring every guest enjoys a safe, structured, enrichment-forward experience. You'll manage the daily flow of dogs and cats within Wagging Hills, support guest check-ins and check-outs, and ensure all guests receive individualized care.

If you enjoy staying active, being on your feet, thinking on your toes, and working with animals in all their goofy, messy glory--this role is for you.

WHY YOU MIGHT BE THE PERFECT FIT:

You love dogs! Big, small, young, old, silly, stinky, drooly, you love them all! You like a fast-paced environment and can multitask. You are self-motivated and independent, but you can also work as part of a team. You know dog body language, or you are eager to learn! You are motivated to maintain a clean and structured environment. You are a natural leader. You love challenges! You have a strong backbone. You are detail-oriented! You can be a coach, not a referee - you know the difference between being proactive and not reactive! You are reliable and understand how much the team and clients count on you. You are eager to build relationships with our clients and their dogs! You want to work in a fun, relaxed, supportive environment. You don't like drama. You are creative and eager to input ideas on making a fun dog environment. You can be flexible with your schedule and are open to working weekends and some holidays

WHY THIS MIGHT NOT BE THE TEAM OR POSITION FOR YOU:

You are sensitive to loud noises, smells, and bodily fluids. You require a consistent schedule and are not available to work weekends and holidays. You can't stand on your feet all day and be quick to action. You are sensitive to the cold or hot weather. You lack patience, are quick to get frustrated, and don't take criticism well. You hate change. You're not comfortable with pets jumping, barking, or being physical.
