Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Care Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and a strong commitment to providing exceptional service to pet owners. This role involves caring for dogs, ensuring their well-being, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. The Pet Care Specialist will be responsible for handling pets, providing basic grooming, and assisting with training as needed.

Duties

Provide daily care for pets, including feeding, grooming, exercising , play groups and enrichment. Handle dogs and other animals safely and effectively, ensuring their comfort and safety. Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the facility, including kennels and play areas. Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to management or veterinary staff. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' needs and behaviors. Perform animal restraint when necessary for grooming or medical procedures. Assist veterinary staff with basic tasks as needed, leveraging any veterinary technician or assistant experience.

Qualifications

Experience in dog handling or pet care is required; previous kennel experience is preferred. Veterinary experience or certification as a veterinary technician is a plus. Knowledge of animal behavior and training methods is highly desirable. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with pet owners. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling large breeds or moving equipment. Experience in pet grooming, pet sitting, or general animal care is beneficial. Projected Total Compensation: $18,720.00 - $21,840.00 per year
