We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Personal Training Director to lead and oversee our fitness training programs. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of fitness and health management, and excellent communication abilities. This role involves managing a team of personal trainers, developing training programs, ensuring client satisfaction, and driving the growth of our personal training services. The Personal Training Director will play a pivotal role in fostering a motivating environment that promotes health, wellness, and customer engagement.
Responsibilities
Lead, supervise, and motivate the personal training team to achieve performance goals and maintain high standards of service.
Develop and implement comprehensive personal training programs tailored to individual client needs.
Conduct employee orientation, onboarding, and ongoing training & development sessions for new and existing staff.
Recruit qualified personal trainers through effective interviewing, screening, and hiring processes.
Manage scheduling, shift management, and ensure optimal coverage for training sessions.
Oversee client engagement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
Handle administrative duties including payroll processing, bookkeeping, inventory management of fitness equipment, and maintaining accurate records.
Coordinate marketing efforts to promote personal training services across various channels.
Monitor retail sales related to fitness products or memberships and manage pricing strategies accordingly.
Maintain inventory control of supplies and equipment necessary for training sessions.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and health regulations within the facility.
Collaborate with management on budgeting, sales management, merchandising, and store management activities as needed.
Requirements
Proven leadership experience in a fitness or retail environment with supervisory responsibilities.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
Experience in employee orientation, interviewing, recruiting, and team management.
Knowledge of payroll processing, bookkeeping, inventory management, POS systems, purchasing, and cash handling.
Demonstrated expertise in sales management, marketing strategies, retail math, pricing, merchandising, stock management, and store operations.
Familiarity with fitness industry standards and personal training program development.
Ability to lead training & development initiatives effectively.
Strong customer service orientation with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
Experience with budgeting processes and financial oversight within a retail or fitness setting.
Proficiency in organizational tools and time management techniques to ensure smooth operations.
Previous assistant manager or managerial experience in a related field is preferred.
