We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Part-time Personal Support Professionals (DSP) to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals with diverse needs. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others, especially those with developmental disabilities, or other long-term care requirements. Duties
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Support clients with medication administration and monitoring vital signs as needed
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental health and socialization
Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer devices, ensuring safety at all times
Maintain accurate documentation of care plans, progress notes, and incident reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Perform light housekeeping duties including cleaning client living areas to ensure a safe and sanitary environment
Observe and report any changes in client condition or behavior to supervising staff promptly
Support clients during outings or community activities to foster independence and community integration
Requirements
Prior experience in assisted living, home health, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is highly preferred
Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance are advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided if necessary
Ability to perform heavy lifting when required for patient transfers or mobility assistance
Strong communication skills and patience when working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with autism, or those requiring memory care
Knowledge of care plans, medication administration, patient observation, and vital signs monitoring is desirable
Experience working in group homes or long-term care facilities is a plus
Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support others' independence and quality of life
