Primary Responsibilities

Evaluates insurance for acceptability and appropriate pricing. Evaluates risks according to underwriting guidelines and experience. Recommends risk improvement and/or loss control measures to achieve the appropriate rate for the risk. Documents final decision on applications to ensure policies are issued or declined accurately while adhering to compliance regulations. Works with a variety of internal and external partners to ensure prompt and efficient service to our customers. Participates in ongoing learning and technical development.

Knowledge and Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. Must have a commitment to completing industry education. Ability to learn Company product portfolio, retention limits, reinsurance procedures, and the Company's philosophy regarding reinsurance submissions. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Effective utilization of computer systems for essential job functions, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with IFBI processing systems as assigned. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in both written correspondence and verbal communication. Willingness and demonstrated ability to collaborate with underwriting team members and agents.
