We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Personal Injury Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will support attorneys in managing personal injury cases from inception through resolution, ensuring efficient case progression and compliance with legal standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong legal research, document management, and administrative skills to contribute to a dynamic law firm dedicated to client advocacy and case success.
Duties
Assist attorneys with case preparation, including drafting legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence related to personal injury law.
Conduct legal research utilizing, LexisNexis, and other legal research tools to support case strategies.
Manage case files using document management systems and legal case management software.
Review and organize medical records, accident reports, and other evidence pertinent to personal injury claims.
Coordinate with clients, insurance companies, medical providers, and other stakeholders through effective communication and phone etiquette.
Prepare discovery responses, subpoenas, and deposition summaries while maintaining meticulous documentation.
Support litigation processes including filing documents with courts, tracking deadlines, and organizing trial materials.
Perform data entry, document review, proofreading, transcription, and filing tasks to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Provide administrative support such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and organizing meetings related to personal injury cases.
Requirements
Proven paralegal experience with a focus on personal injury law or related fields such as workers' compensation or litigation.
Strong knowledge of legal administrative processes including document review, case management, and research.
Familiarity with legal research platforms like Westlaw and LexisNexis., is a plus, but not required.
Experience with legal software such as MyCase, or similar case management systems.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases efficiently under tight deadlines.
Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
Attention to detail for proofreading and document review tasks.
Effective communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette.
Strong administrative skills including data entry, filing, transcription, and clerical experience are essential. This position is integral to providing high-quality support in personal injury cases while fostering professional growth within our firm's collaborative environment.
