Description of Position

Provides guidance, direction, and assistance to residents in caring for their personal needs and comfort. Responsible for the safety and well being of the residents. Maintains a safe and clean environment for the residents.

Qualifications and Requirements

High school diploma, or equivalent, required. Nurse Aide certificate, or one (1) year full-time employment as a nurse aide under the supervision of a registered nurse in a hospital or skilled nursing facility, intermediate care facility, or home health agency required. Previous experience in a health-care or long-term care facility desirable. First Aid and Heartsaver AED certification is required with retraining once every two (2) years.
