Job Overview
Female client in her late 30s seeks dependable Personal Care Assistants to provide physical assistance with daily needs. Client works at a local non-profit and enjoys learning languages, traveling and reading in her spare time. Currently hiring for evening shifts Monday-Friday, roughly 6 AM to 8:30 PM. Priority will be given to candidates who can work this schedule, though availability for occasional evenings and weekends is a plus. Previous experience with caregiving in any setting with any age group is helpful, but not necessary. Fluency in English is NOT required for this position - client has worked successfully with employees who primarily speak Spanish and other languages.

Responsibilities
Client lives independently and needs assistance with getting in and out of bed, bathing, dressing, using the restroom, preparing meals, pet care, and completing light housework, including laundry, mopping, and sweeping.

Qualifications

Up-to-date flu & COVID-19 vaccination preferred Mask-wearing while in the client's home Willing to comply with public health recommendations for preventing the spread of respiratory illness Comfortable with personal care tasks (no experience necessary) Comfortable caring for a friendly, people-oriented cat who likes to play! Experience with cooking/meal prep, interest in vegetarian or vegan cooking a plus Able to safely lift about 40 pounds Prompt and reliable Good sense of humor Detail-oriented self-starter Strong communication and interpersonal skills Must be able to follow directions Must have reliable transportation (can include the bus!) Valid government-issued ID and Social Security card or other proof of work authorization
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.88 - $17.13 per hour
