Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and have experience working with diverse populations, including seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Duties

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' mental well-being Monitor and document vital signs and changes in clients' health status Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions and preferences Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment Administer medications as prescribed and assist in managing care plans Support clients with mobility needs, including the use of Hoyer lifts when necessary Engage in memory care activities for clients with Alzheimer's or dementia Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care Uphold HIPAA regulations to maintain client confidentiality

Experience

Prior experience in caregiving or personal care assistance is preferred Familiarity with home health, hospice care, or long-term care settings is advantageous Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the needs of the client Understanding of patient observation techniques and patient monitoring practices Experience in social work or related fields can be beneficial
