Responsibilities



Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor residents' health by observing vital signs and overall condition, promptly reporting any concerns to healthcare professionals Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring hygiene standards are met Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to facilitate safe transfers and mobility Document care activities accurately in compliance with facility policies and state regulations Engage clients in social activities or recreational programs to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being Follow established protocols for emergency situations, including CPR and first aid procedures Collaborate with healthcare teams, social workers, and family members to support comprehensive care plans Assist with transportation to medical appointments or community outings as needed Uphold confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines during patient interactions

Qualifications



Prior experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care is highly preferred Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications such as Alzheimer's or dementia care are advantageous Demonstrated ability to work compassionately with people with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory impairments Knowledge of medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient observation techniques Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare teams Ability to follow detailed care plans while maintaining flexibility for individual needs Commitment to maintaining patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations Experience working with seniors or individuals requiring long-term or hospice care is a plus

Pay: $13.00 - $20.00 per hour
