We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants to provide high-quality support to individuals in various care settings, including home, community, assisted living, and long-term care facilities. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to improve the lives of others and possess relevant experience in patient care and caregiving services. Prior experience in senior care, dementia or Alzheimer's care, or working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued. Responsibilities
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for changes in condition
Support medication administration following prescribed care plans
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption
Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping and cleaning tasks
Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids safely
Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans
Assist with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to ensure safety for residents with disabilities or mobility challenges
Support patients during medical appointments or community outings as needed
Follow all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures
Experience
Candidates should have prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism. Experience in dementia or Alzheimer's care is preferred. Skills such as patient observation, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, patient monitoring, social work background, and familiarity with HIPAA compliance are highly desirable. Candidates should also possess the ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary and demonstrate excellent caregiving skills. Prior training or certification in CPR and first aid is a plus. Experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring memory care is advantageous. A background in nursing or home health services will be considered a strong asset.
