Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant - Housekeeping to provide essential support to individuals in need of daily living assistance within a residential or community setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of empathy, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to enhancing residents' quality of life. This role combines personal care responsibilities with housekeeping duties, ensuring a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for all residents. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring long-term care, memory support, or assistance with daily activities.

Duties



Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and sanitation of resident areas. Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, fostering a respectful and inclusive atmosphere. Participate in training sessions on CPR, first aid, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, autism support, hospice care, and other specialized caregiving techniques. Assist with resident monitoring during activities to ensure safety and engagement at all times. Support residents' participation in social activities and community outings when appropriate.

Requirements



Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality. Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional certifications such as dementia or Alzheimer's care are preferred. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when necessary for resident transfers or mobility assistance. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or memory impairments is advantageous. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members. High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in caregiving or social work is beneficial. Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve residents' well-being through attentive caregiving and housekeeping support. We prefer to have but not required at least 1 year of experience in In-Home Care! Must be over the age of 18 and must have CPR, a reliable car, driver's license & car insurance. We also provide an 8 hour training course.



Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
