Job Overview

As a Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and personalized care to an elderly man in his home and community. Your responsibilities will include assisting him with daily living activities, facilitating medical appointments, and ensuring his overall well-being. This position requires a dedicated individual who is skilled in patient care and has experience working with diverse populations, including seniors and individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities

Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment. Administer medications as prescribed and ensure proper documentation of medication administration. Assist with cleaning tasks, laundry, and meal preparation to maintain a safe and healthy living environment. Transport and accompany to medical appointments. Uphold HIPAA regulations to protect privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

Live within 10-15 minutes of Howell, NJ. Reliable transportation - mileage reimbursement included. Be physically fit to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and stairs, minimizing the risk of injury to both the aide and the individual. Previous experience in home health, senior care, or long-term care settings is preferred. Require NO criminal history status. Certification in CPR is a plus, but is not required. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or those requiring memory care is highly valued. Excellent communication skills and compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to providing quality patient care in a home setting.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
