Job Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. The ideal candidate will have experience in caregiving, a strong understanding of patient care, and the ability to work effectively with individuals with various needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, and Alzheimer's. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients through attentive care and support.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in health status. Prepare meals and assist with meal planning according to dietary needs. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties. Document patient care activities accurately and maintain confidentiality. Engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement care plans effectively.

Qualifications

Previous experience in home health, assisted living, or long-term care settings is preferred. Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification is a plus. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or memory care needs is highly desirable. Strong skills in patient observation and monitoring for changes in condition. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment. A compassionate demeanor and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life.
