CareGiving In Home Care in Bakersfield, CA is looking for personal care aide PRN position to join our team. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and reliable.


Responsibilities

Provide assistance to Clients in day-to-day activities Ensure Clients receive their proper medication in a timely manner Communicate with medical professionals about the Client's health or issues that may arise Prepare and administer meals in accordance with dietary needs

Must adhere to the client's plan of care. Must follow agency's policies & procedures. Report abuse, neglect, exploitation, etc. according to the agency's guidelines. Must always use proper body mechanics. Ensure home care services are provided in a safe and professional manner. Use proper techniques when performing or assisting with Activities of Daily Living. Follow basic infection control procedures & universal precautions. Must report to work at a scheduled time & leave at the scheduled. Understand and respect clients' rights and responsibilities.


Qualifications


Must be 18 years or older.


o High school graduation or GED


o CPR & First Aid certified


o Current driver's license


Current TB



o Shall have one-year full-time experience in personal care or an institutional setting, such as a hospital or nursing home, OR Shall have one-year full-time experience within the last five years in direct client care in a home care agency setting.


o Demonstrated ability to read, write, and carry out directions.


o Good verbal and written communication skills are required.


o Attends a minimum of (5) initial training upon pre-employment.


o Attends a minimum of (5) hours of continuing education training annually.


o Must have a criminal history check conducted prior to being offered work with this agency.

Experience working as a caregiver or similar field Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to remain empathetic to patient needs High attention to detail Certifications that may apply
