We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Assistant Caregiver to provide high-quality support to individuals in their homes or community settings. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, monitor health and safety, and promote independence for clients with diverse needs. Prior experience in senior care, home health, assisted living, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is highly valued.
Duties
Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans
Support clients with meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs while adhering to dietary restrictions
Operate patient monitoring devices and maintain accurate documentation of health status
Utilize proper lifting techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to ensure safe transfers
Observe and report changes in patient condition or behavior, especially related to dementia, Alzheimer's, or memory care needs
Maintain a clean and safe environment through light cleaning and sanitation tasks
Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure client confidentiality and privacy at all times
Assist with transportation to medical appointments or community activities when necessary
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans
Qualifications
Prior experience in home & community care, long-term care, assisted living, nursing homes, hospice, or social work preferred
Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable
Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, autism support, and working with people with disabilities is advantageous
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required for resident transfers or mobility assistance
Strong patient observation skills and the ability to monitor vital signs accurately
Experience working within HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills and patience when working with seniors or individuals with developmental disabilities
Valid driver's license preferred for transportation duties
