Position Information
Position Title
Peer Tutor - HistoryThis position will provide tutorial services to 9th - 12th grade high school students in the subject areas of U.S. History, World History/Geography, and Government/Economics. Tutors assist in monitoring participants' success, maintain records of tutorial sessions, assist in monitoring hallways as participants change classes, accompany participants when traveling across campus, and participate in other Upward Bound activities and events including field trips.
Required Qualifications
Substantial and relevant knowledge in the subject area of History (World History, Government, etc.) The applicant must be a sophomore or higher classification in college. The applicant will be required to live in the residence hall with the participants for a 6 week period during the summer component.

Physical Demands
The physical demands will include sitting, walking, and the use of computers for online academic services such as Zoom and Canvas.
