Job Description

Assist with Daily Living Activities:




Conducts individual interventions and /or groups as assigned under the supervision and direction of a licensed professional. Daily assists in maintenance of therapeutic milieu e.g. uses reflective listening, non-punitive redirection, elf-esteem building responses, etc. Utilizes problem-solving approach with individual Acts as a peer and a role model

Peer Support Specialist:



the Peer Support Specialist uses their own unique, life-altering experience in order to guide and support others who are in recovery. The Peer Support Specialist first and foremost uses their personal experiences to develop meaningful and trusting relationships with clients, acting as mentor. As someone who successfully managed their own recovery, the Peer Support Specialist provides clients as example of what they can strive for in their recovery. The Peer Support Specialist works to build a community of both patients and staff that is supportive and conductive to patient growth and recovery. They assist in the creation and implementation of social activities and help create a positive environment for everyone. The Peer Support Specialist links up with various community organizations and resources to provide additional support for clients, particularly as they transition from recovery back in the general community. This can include healthcare, housing, job assistance and additional treatment services as well as support in the task of finding or re-integrating with friends and family and outside communities.

Education & Experience:





High School Education or equivalent



Valid Arkansas driver's license with record acceptable to insurance carrier



Must meet requirements of at least 2 years of lived experience and criteria to meet Peer support Specialist role per state standards.
