Job Overview

As a Recovery Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their path to recovery from substance abuse and mental health challenges. You will provide guidance, resources, and assistance to empower individuals to overcome obstacles and lead healthier lives. This position is for an adult substance use disorder residential treatment facility.

Responsibilities

- Utilize mentoring techniques to support individuals in their recovery journey
- Implement behavioral health strategies to address clients' needs
- Navigate through various systems to connect clients with appropriate services and resources
-assist individuals in overcoming substance abuse
- Provide crisis intervention and management when needed
- Collaborate with social work professionals to address holistic needs of clients
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to inspire positive change
- Offer mental health counseling to individuals struggling with co-occurring disorders

Qualifications

- Previous experience in substance use and mental health treatment is preferred
- Proficiency in crisis intervention and crisis management
- Knowledge of behavioral health systems and resources
- Strong understanding of motivational interviewing techniques
- Degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field is a plus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
