Role Purpose
Provides direct care to patients including those with complex behavioral and/or mental health needs under the direction and supervision of a licensed professional nurse.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate skill and judgement necessary to provide safe and effective care to patients including those with complex behavioral and/or mental health needs.
Implements direct patient care under the supervision of the nurse promoting patient and family centered care in a healing environment
Collects clinical data and information on patients, documents appropriate data, and reports changes in patient status to the healthcare team.
Uses effective communication skills to collaborate with members of the health care team to provide a safe environment to achieve optimal outcomes.
Provides continual observation, ongoing documentation, and participates in the development of the plan of care for patients with complex behavioral and/or mental health needs.
