ROLE: Pediatric Dentist - Part-Time| Local Agency Contract | Sante-Fe, New Mexico

QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY:
Degree from a dental school accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA)
Must be licensed through the American Dental Association (Doctor of Dentistry)
Professional Liability Protection MANDATORY
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum two years recent experience working as a Pediatric Dentist
SKILLS & ABILITY:
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, hospital software applications.
Ability to think critically and multitask in a high-pressure situation.
Ability to organize and manage an office setting and work with all.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member; establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with members of the interdisciplinary team, and exercise judgment by participating in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care according to standard.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs according to the Standards of Professional Practice set out by the American Dental Association and in compliance with the policies, procedures, and standards of the facility.
Accepts clinical responsibility and professional accountability for the care delivered to assigned patients.
Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team, fulfilling responsibilities as such.
Complies with The Ethical Framework for Pediatric Dentists New Mexico.
Provides direction, guidance, supervision.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Comprehensive patient examinations, diagnosis, and treatment planning
Proficiency in restorative procedures (fillings, crowns, bridges, etc.)
Experience with extractions and oral surgery fundamentals
Endodontic treatments (root canals) where applicable
Periodontal assessment and non-surgical periodontal therapy oversight
Ability to read and interpret dental radiographs
Competent in managing dental emergencies and acute pain cases
Infection control compliance and instrument sterilization protocols
Local anesthesia and pain management techniques
Provides clear and compassionate patient education on oral health
Builds trust quickly in diverse communities and patient groups
Carry out all work assignments safely and be knowledgeable of and in compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations, as well as other legislation as applicable.
Must comply with:
Human Resource, Corporation, and Department Policies
Must provide satisfactory Level 2 Background Check
Must maintain Doctor of Dentistry in good standing with the American Dental Association and in compliance with the policies, procedures, and standards of the facility
