Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistants to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, particularly those with disabilities, memory care needs, or those residing in nursing homes. As a Personal Care Assistant, you will play a key role in fostering independence and dignity for our clients within their home community.

Duties

Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. Provide companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote emotional well-being. Help clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort. Monitor and record vital signs as needed, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals. Support clients in meal preparation and feeding as required. Assist with medication reminders and adherence to prescribed health regimens. Facilitate transportation for clients to appointments or community activities as necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all areas are tidy and organized. Collaborate with healthcare providers, family members, and other caregivers to ensure comprehensive care.

Qualifications

Previous experience in home community care or direct support roles is preferred. Familiarity with social work principles or nursing home environments is advantageous. Knowledge of vital signs monitoring and memory care techniques is a plus. Ability to work effectively with individuals who have developmental disabilities or other special needs. Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to help others. Reliable transportation for client visits is required; a valid driver's license is preferred. Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills.
