Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is crucial in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring they receive the care and attention necessary for their well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in home care, hospice care, or group home settings, and will be committed to maintaining a clean and safe environment while adhering to HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Provide patient monitoring and observation to ensure safety and comfort. Maintain a clean and organized living space for clients. Support clients with mobility and transportation needs. Document patient observations and report any changes in condition to nursing staff or family members. Engage clients in social activities that promote mental and emotional well-being. Follow care plans as directed by healthcare professionals, including nurses or social workers. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality.

Requirements

Able to work around pets. ( cats and/or dogs) Previous experience as a Personal Care Assistant or in a similar role is preferred. Knowledge of hospice care practices is a plus. Familiarity with patient monitoring techniques and observation skills. Ability to maintain a clean environment while providing personal care services. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare teams. Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others. Must be able to pass background checks as required by state regulations.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 25 per week
