Job Summary:





The Payroll Specialist will support the Payroll Manager in reviewing timecard data for accuracy and working with the HR Leadership team for timely payroll processing. A successful Payroll Specialist possesses strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and an understanding of payroll laws and regulations.


Responsibilities:




Reviewing timecard data prior to payroll submission, investigating root cause of errors, and ensuring accuracy of the data Work with other members on the HR team to ensure a smooth payroll cycle and timely transactions Working with third party payroll provider, ensure compliance with all federal, state and local regulations (e.g., taxes, payment upon terminations, deductions, etc.) Compile periodic reports for payroll, worker's compensation, and special management requests Interact with and communicate with all levels of employees within the Company Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records Support Payroll Manager as a backup for payroll processing duties as needed

Required Qualifications:




High school diploma or equivalent 3 or more years of payroll processing experience Understanding of multi-state payroll processing Proficiency with Excel - creating spreadsheets, formulas, pivot tables, etc. Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications:




Associate's degree in related field Experience with ADP Workforce Now Experience with NetSuite Candidates residing within Mountain or Pacific time zone
