JOB SUMMARY
VOACC is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Payroll Clerk to join our team. This position will report to the Payroll Manager. The Payroll Clerk will support payroll operations by auditing timesheets, assisting with payroll processing, managing leave profiles, and ensuring timely and accurate responses to payroll inquiries. This role is essential in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of employee compensation and related reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Audit and review employee timesheets for accuracy and compliance on a bi-weekly basis.
Serve as a backup for payroll processing, ensuring continuity during absences or high-volume periods.
Maintain and upload leave profiles, ensuring leave balances are accurate and up to date.
Monitor the payroll mailbox and internal inquiry platforms (e.g., Ask Here), addressing or routing questions as needed.
Collaborate with HR to maintain integrity of data in Human Resource/Payroll database
Support various financial audits by providing relevant payroll data and documentation.
Prepare and generate routine and ad-hoc payroll reports.
Serve as a backup for processing manual checks when required.
Assist with resolving employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

8:30 AM - 5:30 PMPrevious experience in payroll, finance, or HR administration preferred.
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
Proficiency in payroll systems (experience with PayCom preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
