POSITION SUMMARY Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Payroll & Benefits Coordinator is responsible for weekly payroll processing and employee benefits administration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide the highest level of service to our employees, as a first point of contact for payroll and benefits related questions within the HR office either in person, by phone, or email.
Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll and any special or bonus payrolls.
Ensures Payroll accuracy, data input and review including new hires, terminations, time entry, voluntary/involuntary deductions, earnings, tax elections, direct deposit elections, etc.
Complete post processing payroll reports.
Responds to employment verifications, audit, garnishments, and other agencies inquiries.
Administration of all benefit plans including Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, LTD, STD and Life Insurance.
Coordinate Annual Open Enrollment event.
Audit LMI and carrier systems to ensure benefit enrollments and payroll deductions are accurate and process any corrections promptly.
EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE
Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma.
Two or more years of payroll processing experience required.
Experience with Paycor payroll preferred.
Experience with benefit administration preferred.
Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to quickly learn new software/systems.
Knowledge of Federal, State, and local regulations and requirements.
Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
