POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, the Payroll & Benefits Coordinator is responsible for weekly payroll processing and employee benefits administration.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide the highest level of service to our employees, as a first point of contact for payroll and benefits related questions within the HR office either in person, by phone, or email.
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll and any special or bonus payrolls.
  • Ensures Payroll accuracy, data input and review including new hires, terminations, time entry, voluntary/involuntary deductions, earnings, tax elections, direct deposit elections, etc.
  • Complete post processing payroll reports.
  • Responds to employment verifications, audit, garnishments, and other agencies inquiries.
  • Administration of all benefit plans including Medical, Dental, Vision, Retirement, LTD, STD and Life Insurance.
  • Coordinate Annual Open Enrollment event.
  • Audit LMI and carrier systems to ensure benefit enrollments and payroll deductions are accurate and process any corrections promptly.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE
  • Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma.
  • Two or more years of payroll processing experience required.
  • Experience with Paycor payroll preferred.
  • Experience with benefit administration preferred.
  • Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint with the ability to quickly learn new software/systems.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and local regulations and requirements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
