Job Overview


As a Payroll Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and accurate processing of payroll for our organization. You will be responsible for managing payroll operations, maintaining compliance with regulations, and providing exceptional support to our employees regarding their payroll inquiries. Your expertise will help us maintain financial integrity and foster a positive workplace environment.

What you'll do



Process payroll accurately and on time. Consolidating timesheet information and entering data using Paychex and generating payroll reports. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, and company policies. Maintain accurate and up to date employee records, including personal information, union labor rates, employee benefit deductions, garnishments, tax details and payment information. Manage timekeeping verify and process employee timesheets, ensuring accurate tracking of hours worked. Collaborate with HR, and other departments to gather and validate payroll information, such as new hires, terminations, and salary changes. Conduct audits of payroll data to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions as necessary. Resolve issues to address employee inquiries and resolving any payroll related discrepancies Staying updated of changes in payroll regulations, union collective bargaining agreements, and updating payroll systems accordingly. Special projects as assigned. Perform general office duties, including answering phones, emails, and handling correspondence.

Basic qualifications



Proven experience as a payroll administrator or similar role. Strong understanding of financial concepts including debits & credits. Exceptional mathematical and calculation skills Excellent data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Good research and analysis skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in finance or accounting preferred

Preferred qualifications



Construction background and union labor. Knowledge of certified payroll is preferred but not required. Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively. Previous experience in human resources or accounting roles will be beneficial.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
