Role Overview
Epicured is seeking a
Payment Reconciliation Specialist
to ensure accurate application, tracking, and reconciliation of customer payments across multiple financial systems. This role is ideal for someone highly detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable managing sensitive financial data.
You'll partner closely with the Finance, Customer Service, and Operations teams to ensure all payment activity is accurately recorded and discrepancies are resolved quickly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Accurately apply customer payments to open invoices in
QuickBooks Online (QBO)
.
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliation of payments across multiple sources (bank statements, payment processors, internal reports).
Maintain clean and accurate accounts receivable records.
Investigate discrepancies, missing payments, duplicates, and misapplied transactions.
Partner with internal teams to validate payment information and gather supporting documentation.
Prepare reconciliation reports and summaries for Finance leadership.
Identify process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Handle confidential and sensitive financial data with strict discretion and professionalism.

Qualifications
Advanced proficiency in
Microsoft Excel
(VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas, data cleanup).
Experience using
QuickBooks Online
to apply payments and manage AR functions.
Proven experience in
payment reconciliation, billing, bookkeeping, or a related finance role
.
Strong attention to detail with exceptional accuracy.
Ability to work with high-volume data and tight deadlines.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow stringent data-security protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with payment processors or bank reconciliations.
Background in accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
Familiarity with AR reporting tools or financial dashboards.
Compensation & Benefits
