We are hiring a

Part-Time Afternoon Patrol Security Officer

to support security operations at a large, open-air retail property in the Wilmette area. This role requires a professional, observant, and dependable officer who can provide a strong security presence while conducting regular mobile and foot patrols throughout the property. Officers in this position must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions and interacting with the public in a courteous, confident manner.

Position Overview

The Patrol Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment throughout the property. This includes proactive patrols in a marked security vehicle (mobile patrol), monitoring for suspicious activity, assisting tenants and visitors, and responding to incidents as needed. Officers will also complete written reports, communicate with management, and uphold company and site-specific security procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Perform

regular foot patrols of the property

and

regular mobile patrols

of the property using a company-issued vehicle and Conduct

visual security checks

of parking areas, entrances/exits, and common spaces Monitor for safety hazards, suspicious behavior, or policy violations Respond promptly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, and calls for service Provide

customer service

assistance to tenants, guests, and employees when needed Complete clear, accurate

daily activity reports

and incident reports Communicate effectively via radio, phone, and written logs Work independently while remaining alert, responsible, and reliable Enforce company and property rules in a calm, respectful, and professional manner Maintain a highly visible security presence to deter unwanted activity

Requirements

Active Illinois PERC card

20-Hour Basic Security Training Certificate

Valid Driver's License

with

3+ years of clean driving history

(MVR required) Ability to pass a

background check

and

pre-employment drug screening

Prior

security experience required

; mobile or patrol experience preferred Comfortable working

outdoors

in all seasons

Weekend availability
