We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in providing exceptional patient service and ensuring smooth operations at Holistic Wellness & Psychiatry ( https://holisticwellness.clinic/). The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a thorough understanding of patient services, and the ability to navigate various healthcare systems.

Responsibilities

Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes. Schedule and onboard new patient appointments and manage patient records using our electronic health record system (IntakeQ) Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient information. Provide information about services, procedures, and insurance coverage to patients. Assist with medical billing inquiries and coordinate with insurance companies as needed. Assist with patient related tasks, obtaining medical records, pharmacy calls, lab orders, etc. Handle phone calls professionally, addressing patient inquiries and concerns with excellent phone etiquette. Collaborate with other administrative staff and providers to facilitate patient care. Support the overall management of the medical office environment.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a patient service role or medical office management in psychiatry/mental health is preferred. Familiarity with medical assisting and/or billing processes is a plus. Proficiency in using electronic health record systems; experience with IntakeQ is highly desirable. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Demonstrated ability to provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of outpatient medical clinic operations and procedures is beneficial. A positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
