Position Summary: Greets, instructs, directs, schedules, registers, and performs check-in duties for patients. Serves as a liaison between patients and medical support staff. Responsible for coordinating all after-visit activities including: collection, review and update of all practice-specific forms, communicating of payment policies regarding amounts due for current services and prior balances, collection of payments, assistance with scheduling follow-up appointments and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Perform registration, check-in, and check-out for patient visits
Schedule follow-up visits, including labs, imaging, and other diagnostic testing
Collect co-pays
Call patients for notification of schedule changes
Requirements:Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, physicians, management, staff and other customers.
Exceptional customer service skills including the ability to use independent thinking, sound judgement, and creativity when resolving customer issues.
Ability to balance priorities and effectively handle challenging situations.
Excellent verbal communication skills.
Comfort with computer technology and applications.
Education:High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: Previous health-care experience strongly preferred. In-depth knowledge of insurance preferred

Days, Primary Schedule: Monday-Friday; 7:30-4PM, though subject to change to meet department needs.
