Key Responsibilities:
Greet all patients and visitors with professionalism and warmth
Answer phone calls and emails; direct inquiries to the appropriate team members
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
Maintain accurate up to date patient records in EMR system.
Check patients in and out, including collecting insurance and referral information
Maintain a clean and organized front office area
Handle incoming faxes, manage specimen pickups, and assist with operative reports
Protect patient privacy and maintain HIPAA compliance
Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the practice
Professional appearance and demeanor
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Previous front desk, customer service or administrative experience
Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
Ability to multitask, stay organized and maintain attention to detail.
Familiar with Microsoft Office and basic office equipment
Familiarity with medical terminology preferred
