Patient Placement RN

position in Phoenix, AZ offers exactly that. You'll be the critical link between emergency departments and inpatient units, ensuring patients are placed in the right beds at the right time. Responsibilities

Coordinate bed assignments across up to 3 hospitals (500-1000 beds total) Use TeleTracking and Cerner to manage patient flow and unit capacity Communicate with ED, charge nurses, and leadership to ensure appropriate placements Monitor multiple screens and applications including Google Chat, Zoom, and internal systems Apply critical thinking to resolve bed assignment discrepancies (e.g., chest pain patients placed on MedSurg instead of Tele) Maintain accurate documentation and escalate issues as needed No hands-on patient care or clinical decision-making involved
Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience (SNF-only backgrounds will not be considered) Prior house supervisor experience required Experience with TeleTracking and Cerner EMR Strong computer skills and multitasking ability Familiarity with hospital unit types (e.g., MedSurg vs Tele) Excellent communication and customer service skills
Education

RN, LVN, or CNA license required (no BSN needed)
Knowledge and Skills

Tech-savvy and comfortable with multi-platform communication Calm under pressure and able to prioritize in real-time Detail-oriented with a systems-thinking mindset Team player with a service-first attitude
