ChristianaCare is currently seeking a

Full-Time Patient Escort I

to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you'll help ensure the safe and timely transport of patients throughout our hospital -- making a meaningful difference in their care journey.

? Schedule:

10:00 AM - 6:30 PM

40 hours per week

Requires

working every other weekend

Includes holiday rotation

? What You'll Do:

Safely transport patients via stretcher, wheelchair, bed, or specialized vehicle Respond to transport and equipment requests from dispatchers and clinical staff Interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals with empathy and professionalism

? What You Bring:

2+ years of customer service experience

High school diploma or equivalent preferred Must obtain

BLS certification

upon hire Ability to meet physical demands (standing, walking, lifting, pushing/pulling) Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and infection control

This position has a starting rate of $17.32 per hour, regardless of prior experience. After six months of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $20.34 per hour. After one year of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $21.34 per hour.
This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
