Job Description

Our growing practice at Riley Farm Dental is looking to hire a patient engagement specialist to properly ensure that our dental patients appointments are scheduled, rescheduled or canceled depending on our patients needs. The responsibilities (required but not limited to) include entering patient information into our data system, answering patient's questions, and arranging referrals to other dental specialist. You should also be able to prepare billing statements, feel comfortable requesting payments from patients and going over treatment plans with confidence.

You should be able to successfully organize and maintain patient waiting area. Ultimately, a top performing patient engagement specialist will perform all duties in a manner that ensures the efficient running of the dental practice.

Patient Care Assistant Responsibilities:

Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice Scheduling, rescheduling, or cancelling appointments as needed. Assisting patients to fill out information forms Preparing patients' charts and daily schedules for dental staff Updating patient records and documenting recent treatments and procedures Schedule follow up appointments and providing telephone reminders Communicating with dental insurance providers to determine if patients are required to make co-payments. Verifying methods of payment and collecting payments as needed. Performing general office duties, such as answering telephone, faxing information and emailing referrals. Documenting ALL needed information.

Requirements:

Experience in dental office is preferred but not required. Working knowledge of general administrative practices. Good telephone etiquette. Exceptional organizational skills. Excellent customer service skills. Ensures grammatical and spelling accuracy in all correspondence.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 - 35 per week
