Synergy Health and Wellness is a locally owned and operated wellness clinic serving a diverse client base throughout Central Oregon. We are a team of nutritionists, diabetic educators, and massage therapists who strive to provide innovative, trauma-informed, and inclusive services for all members of our community. Our team operates in a close-knit environment offering genuine support and relationships.
Our ADCES accredited diabetes programming and medical nutrition therapy services are offered at 3 locations throughout Central Oregon. In addition to these services to our local community, we also serve as Nutritionists to WIC Programs throughout the state of Oregon. Our team provides individual and group educational support to clients of all ages.
Our Patient Care Coordinator will serve as the first point of contact for patients, and an integral support person for our entire clinical team. This is a unique opportunity to be a central part of a small, supportive team where you are known, valued, and trusted to deliver excellent work. This role is essential for ensuring smooth daily operations within our clinic. We value candidates who are proactive, reliable, and committed to providing outstanding patient service.
Responsibilities
Serve as the first point of contact and welcoming face of Synergy
Contribute to a positive, professional, and compassionate patient experience
Assist providers with Spanish Language interpretation when needed
Answering phone calls, including from patients, clinicians, referring providers, and others.
Screening and forwarding calls, taking messages, or addressing caller needs directly.
Processing of incoming patient referrals
Inbound and Outbound scheduling calls, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in getting the patient scheduled with the right provider, correct location, and at a day and time that works best for them.
Ensuring completion and accuracy in patient paperwork
Taking payments for services, with a focus on precision
Interacting with our billing service for billing information and claims
Opening and closing the clinic on a daily basis.
In general you will make sure that the patient and referring provider experience is a positive one
Qualifications and Requirements
Medical Assistant or Medical Receptionist experience required
Bilingual speaking both English and Spanish required
Strong references from recent employers
Reliable attendance record
Comfortable working in a busy front office role
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Solid integrity, commitment to a team, and effective communication skills
Strong computer proficiency in multiple programs
Compassionate, professional, and detail-oriented
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Desire to learn and grow
Schedule
Part-Time
3 Full Days per week (employee's choice of weekdays) 8:45-5:15pm
