Patient Advocate Details
Essential Job Duties:
Initiates investigation and follows up on resolutions when events are reported.
Documents all efforts and activities in the hospital incident tracking system.
Refers all concerns received to the appropriate area within one business day of receipt and subsequently works closely with the direct supervisor to resolve the concern.
Serves as patient representative and ensures close follow-up with the patient/family, utilizing Union Hospital's Service recovery program when necessary.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree preferred, Behavioral Sciences or related field.
Healthcare experience preferred, customer service experience required.
Expected to maintain and increase your own knowledge through both formal and informal education, resulting in a positive influence on the quality of care delivered at Union Hospital and promotion of a learning environment.
