Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars, IA has a full-time position (40 hours per week) in our Business Office / Insurance Department for a Patient Accounts Coordinator.

Responsibilities:

Overall responsibility for submission of properly executed claims on a timely basis to guarantors, insurance carries, intermediaries, performing rebilling and logging functions. Ensure insurance filing and billing policies/procedures are kept current. Facilitate the processing of insurance appeals of problem claims. Prepare daily and monthly bills for processing of mailing. Provide financial consultations with patients regarding their medical bills and the status of their claims. Hours are Monday through Friday (days) with evening and weekend involvement.

Requirements:

High school diploma plus specific training in reimbursement/insurance Two years or experience required. Mandatory Reporter training certificate a plus; certification is required as an employee within six months of employment.
