Key Responsibilities:

Manage patient accounts by processing payments, adjustments, and collections accurately and efficiently Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing statements, insurance claims, and payment options Verify patient insurance coverage and eligibility to facilitate accurate billing Collaborate with insurance companies and healthcare providers to resolve billing issues Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations Reconcile accounts and prepare reports on billing activities as needed Assist with billing audits and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and policies

Skills and Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or relevant certification preferred Prior experience in medical billing, patient accounts, or healthcare administration Strong knowledge of medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism Knowledge of insurance processes, coding, and healthcare regulations
