Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Access Specialist to join our healthcare team. This role is pivotal in ensuring a smooth patient experience from the moment they enter our facility. As a Patient Access Specialist, you will be responsible for managing patient information, registration, insurance verification, obtaining signatures on admission forms, maintaining the inpatient census.

Monday through Friday

Responsibilities

Greet patients upon arrival and assist them with the check-in process. Review and verify patient documentation for accuracy and completeness. Maintain organized records of patient interactions and ensure data is accurately entered into electronic health record systems. Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient care requirements. Address patient inquiries regarding services, insurance, and billing processes. Support office management tasks to enhance operational efficiency within the department. Verify Insurance Collect Payments Work in a fast paced medical Emergency Room setting

Requirements

Demonstrate excellent customer service skills Ability to work both independently and within a team Understands that hospital environments change rapidly, requiring adaptability and flexibility Proficient in documentation review and understanding of medical terminology. Familiarity with electronic health record systems such Epic is highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
