About the Job

We're hiring a

Patient Access & Scheduling Specialist

to join our growing

multi-specialty medical practice

in Delray Beach. This position is ideal for someone experienced in

medical office scheduling

,

front desk operations

, or

healthcare customer service

who enjoys helping patients and working in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

Answer a high volume of

inbound patient calls

in a professional, friendly manner. Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments using

EMR software

(Athena, eClinicalWorks, NextGen, or similar). Use scripted

symptom-based triage

to prioritize urgent patient needs. Verify and update

patient demographics, insurance, and contact information

. Route calls to the correct department (billing, referrals, pharmacy, etc.) -- no blind transfers. Return

voicemails and portal messages

within 24 hours. Track

same-day and next-day appointment availability

to reduce ER visits. Support the

Patient Access Center

with data tracking and process improvement.

Requirements

2+ years of experience in a

medical office, patient scheduling, or healthcare call center

role. Familiarity with

EMR systems

(emedical practice). Strong

customer service, communication, and multitasking

skills. Knowledge of

medical terminology and insurance verification

preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Creole) a plus. Reliable, organized, and compassionate with a teamwork mindset.

Pay & Benefits

Hourly Pay:

$18 - $22/hour (based on experience)
