Summary:

The Emergency Department Patient Access Associate is responsible for accurately identifying patients and conducting detailed registration interviews including capturing demographic, insurance and contact information in a high volume, 24/7 Emergency Department. Patient Access Associate are exposed to varying levels of acuity, disease and sensitive patient and visitor situations impacting populations of all ages and backgrounds.


Per diem - flexible and varied schedule. Availability for 3-4 shifts per month required. Shift days and times vary and may include

first, second, or third shift

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)



Education: High school diploma or GED preferred. License/Certifications: N/A Experience: Related experience in healthcare or customer service is preferred. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Computer and data entry experience is required with Microsoft Word, e-mail, and internet communication, as well as the ability to work accurately and effectively with electronic systems. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: N/A
