Position: Pastry Chef/Gelato maker

Gelato & Co is one of the only authentic Gelaterias here in Colorado with a history of Gelato dating back to the first ever modern-day Gelato machine. Gelato & Co. specializes in FRESH Gelato, AUTHENTIC coffee and TRADITIONAL Pastries, while providing the highest quality service in a beautiful space. We have stores worldwide in locations such as Grand Cayman, Aruba, Panama, Puerto Rico, London, Italy and now Colorado. The company is expanding rapidly and we are looking for people who are willing to grow with us!

We're looking for a Gelato/Pastry maker to join our fun atmosphere and become a part of an enthusiastic team. You will be a great fit for our young company if you have a passion for making something delicious that everyone will love. We are looking for someone who can stay organized and plan ahead, someone who can solve problems on the fly, and someone who can have fun doing all of this while making (in our humble opinion) the finest gelato out there. Along with gelato, you will be preparing pastries and cakes to create a diverse and delicious menu. RESPONSIBILITIES

Execute all aspects of gelato production, including ingredient preparation, recipe execution and management of inventory Crafting and baking of pastries consistent with a modern Italian Cafe, including decoration of desserts and gelato cakes Maintain proper maintenance, cleaning and preparation of gelato making tools and machines Become familiarized with and properly use gelato inventory management software Keep up a clean and orderly production area Demonstrate knowledge of the brand and menu items Check quality of products throughout the day to ensure quality and safety standards are met or exceeded Help maintain a clean shop in the kitchen as well as the dining area to ensure the space looks as good as our gelato tastes Work with teammates to prepare the shop for opening and making sure it is in order when the store closes Maintains regular and consistent attendance and punctuality Contributes to a positive team environment

Highly skilled with organization and planning Mastery of arithmetic, decimals and fractions as well as standard measurements Ability to work in a fast paced environment Ability to lift 50 pounds Team oriented, adaptable, dependable, and strong work ethic Daytime availability Must be at least 18 years of age

EXPERIENCE

Previous service industry and production experience preferred but not required

Salary

$17-18 hourly plus tips
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
