We are seeking a talented and passionate Pastry Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with experience in food preparation and handling. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for creating delicious pastries, desserts, and baked goods that delight our customers. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.

Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of pastries, desserts, and baked goods according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations. Assist in the development of new dessert recipes and menu items. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Package desserts for catering orders or retail display as needed. Monitor inventory levels of baking supplies and communicate needs to management. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests when necessary.

Experience

Previous experience in a pastry cook or similar role within the food industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food handling practices. Familiarity with kitchen equipment, including ovens, mixers, and knives. Experience in catering or restaurant environments is a plus. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
