Responsibilities
Prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, tarts, and confections with precision and artistic flair
Decorate cakes and desserts using advanced cake decorating techniques to ensure visual appeal
Package baked goods efficiently for retail display or catering orders while maintaining quality standards
Assist in food production and food preparation processes to support overall kitchen operations
Maintain strict food safety and handling protocols to ensure hygiene and compliance with health regulations
Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and uphold high standards of quality
Support catering events by preparing specialty desserts and ensuring timely delivery
Skills
Extensive pastry experience with a strong foundation in baking techniques
Proficiency in cake decorating, including frosting, piping, and fondant work
Skilled in food handling, safety procedures, and kitchen sanitation practices
Experience in food production, food preparation, and packaging within a fast-paced environment
Excellent knife skills for precise cutting and shaping of ingredients
Knowledge of the food industry standards related to culinary experience and food safety regulations
Strong customer service orientation with the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
Previous restaurant or catering experience preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
