Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Part-Time Tutor to deliver one-to-one instruction in reading, writing, math (including advanced topics such as Algebra and Calculus), and SAT Prep. This role is ideal for a professional with a bachelor's degree, a personal SAT score of 1200 or higher, and a commitment to student success. Hours are variable between 2-15 per week, scheduled Monday through Thursday from 3:30 PM to 9:30 PM, based on student enrollment and center needs. This is a long-term opportunity for someone committed to education and professional excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one tutoring sessions in reading, writing, and math, with expertise in advanced mathematics including Algebra and Calculus. Deliver SAT Prep instruction when assigned, utilizing proven strategies to improve student performance. Maintain accurate session notes and communicate updates to Center Director and staff as needed. Ensure a positive, encouraging, and structured learning environment for all students. Adhere to the center's Rotational Tutoring methodology and session protocols.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required. Personal SAT score of 1200 or higher (official documentation required or take our practice test). Strong proficiency in advanced mathematics, including Algebra and Calculus, with the ability to teach complex concepts clearly. No Experience tutoring K-12 students necessary. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient and engaging teaching style suited for diverse learners. Ability to work variable hours Monday through Thursday, 3:30 PM to 9:30 PM (2-15 hours per week). Must pass a criminal background check and complete a Culture Index survey to ensure a strong team fit. Commitment to a long-term role beyond seasonal periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in an educational or child-facing role. Familiarity with SAT/ACT test preparation strategies. Knowledge of local schools and community resources in Greer, SC.

What We Offer:

Competitive hourly wage of $14-$16, commensurate with experience. Additional $2 per hour when teaching SAT Prep sessions.
