Savage is Growing! Join our team today for an exciting new adventure in Industrial Rail. Savage Services is seeking a dynamic new team member to join our team in Shelby, Montana. If so, Savage is seeking a Transload Operator who\'s primary responsibility is to safely and timely, unload rail cars to trucks within our customer\'s facility. • Saturday (Sunday as needed)

What you will be doing:

• Loading & Unloading rail cars
• Visually inspect rail cars
• Cross train and willingness to assist in the different functions performed at the facility
• Participate in and promote Savage safety program

Requirements of a successful Transload Operator:

• Ability to perform basic maintenance
• Ability to attend and pass all training associated with job related coursework. This includes but is not limited to: OSHA, HazMat and FRA related courses.
• Ability to travel to other sites to assist in switching and training requirements
• Willingness to wear required PPE
• Ability to work Holidays and weekends if needed
• Work experience in an industrial environment
• A high school diploma, or equivalent
• Ability to read, write and understand English

Here are some of the physical requirements of this role:

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Comfortable with heights
• Walk 5+ miles per day on uneven terrain, etc.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to work, walk, and stand on uneven ballast surfaces for long periods of time
