This is a part-time position with a maximum of 1,508 hours per year and is not eligible for paid holidays, leave, or benefits.
The Trades Tech (part-time warehouse) position will be responsible for helping maintain records of the inventory of equipment and supplies of the department's warehouse. This position will be receiving shipments, as well as verifying the accuracy of the contents of shipments. This individual will be responsible for pulling orders from inventory and delivering them to the appropriate site.
Essential Duties
Delivering mail, supplies and fuel to Parks & Recreation facilities
Assisting in pulling and preparing warehouse orders for delivery
Verifying warehouse orders are accurate before loading onto truck
Recording fuel delivery in the Computerized Asset management program
Reading and responding to emails
Conducting quarterly and annual warehouse audits
Providing customer assistance including pulling orders
Maintaining level of inventory
Assisting with the quarterly and annual warehouse audits
Supporting and assisting the department with a variety of activities and countywide initiatives
Other Job Requirements/Information
This job is a safety sensitive position that will require a pre-employment drug test and subsequent random drug and alcohol testing.
Hourly rate
Salary will be $16.80 per hour.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidate must be 16 years of age
Valid driver's license from state of residency REQUIRED
General experience in customer service and communication skills
Basic knowledge of warehouse and inventory principles
Basic knowledge of general office equipment
Excellent customer service skills
Experience using a computer and applicable software
Strong work ethic and detailed oriented
Ability to obtain forklift certification within 6 months
Preferred Qualifications in addition to the above minimum qualifications
High School diploma Preferred education requirement AND
+ One year of experience in warehouse, customer service and general office Forklift certification
