The School of Psychology, Sociology and Rural Studies at South Dakota State University is seeking part-time, temporary Instructors of Criminology to join our vibrant academic community. If you're passionate about helping students understand the complexities of crime, justice, and society, we invite you to share your expertise with our Criminology program. These positions offer flexible course assignments (16%-49%) on a semester-by-semester basis beginning with the 2025-2026 academic year. Courses may be taught on campus in , as well as in online or hybrid formats, providing opportunities to engage students in multiple learning environments. Instructors will be supported by and collaborate with the School's Director and faculty who are dedicated to student success.
, part of the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, was established in 2021 and brings together dynamic programs that explore human behavior, society, and community. The School offers undergraduate degrees in Psychology, Sociology, and Criminology, as well as an A.S. in Sociology, a variety of minors in areas such as Criminal Justice, Mental Health Services, Psychology, and Sociology, and a Ph.D. in Social Science. Faculty and students work together to understand and address the complex issues shaping individuals and communities today, preparing graduates for meaningful careers and lifelong learning.
