Full Job Overview: We are creating a ton of part-time jobs at Winston. Are you looking for something that allows you to get your kids on the bus and home before they get home? Maybe you\xe2\x80\x99re a student that is just looking to get some extra hours to get some side cash, but doesn\xe2\x80\x99t want to work weekends? Either is good with us. We have day and night shifts open and are looking to add a bunch of people. One job that might be a great fit is an Electronics Assembler. This is one of those rare manufacturing jobs that allows you to sit most of the day in a very clean, quiet, and climate-controlled area while you independently do your work. There isn\xe2\x80\x99t any heavy lifting, as you will be assembling small components like wire harnesses, circuit boards, and other small electronic components. No worries if you haven\xe2\x80\x99t done it before, as we will gladly train you.
Work Environment

• Very casual clothes permitted (shorts, t-shirt, and sneakers are no problem).
• You can listen to music on your headphones at work (as long as it can be done safely).
• We are one of the few manufacturing plants in Louisville with AC and heating.
• Can you believe that so many places won\xe2\x80\x99t allow you to have your cell phone with you at work? Not us. While we don\xe2\x80\x99t want you watching Netflix at work, we understand the importance of having your phone available.

Positions Available at Winston

• Assemblers: More of a team atmosphere. You work together using simple hand tools and essentially build our equipment. Nothing that you will be doing is insanely heavy, but there is some lifting, pushing, and pulling required. We have tools to help with move most large or heavy parts. This position starts at $16.00/hr with no experience.
• Electronics Assembler: One of those rare manufacturing jobs that allows you to sit most of the day in a very clean, quiet, and climate-controlled area while you independently do your work. There isn\xe2\x80\x99t any heavy lifting, as you will be assembling small components like wire harnesses, circuit boards, and other small electronic components. This position starts at $14.50 with no experience.
• Polisher: This position is very independent. Often rotating between workstations, you get to sit and use the proper grinding wheels, belts, or whatever to make the edges of the metal feel smooth and look good. No experience needed and can be learned fairly quickly. This position starts at $16.50/hr with no experience.
• Brake Press Operator: Looking for experienced brake press operators that know how to look at a print, set-up tooling for their machine, and can bend the part to spec. Most metal is 16-22 gauge and can be hand-held. This position requires experience and pays between $18-$22 based on experience and skill level.
• Welder: We use TIG and spot welding here. If you have experience in welding, we have seated workstations that are open and can keep you busy. If you are wanting a career with welding, but don\xe2\x80\x99t have experience\xe2\x80\xa6let us know. We can start you off slow in another role and teach you how to be a good welder in time. We\xe2\x80\x99ll even help get you certified. This position pays between $17-$20/hr, based on experience level.
• Machine Operator: This position is for a great multi-tasker that likes technology and keeping busy. Using some of the most advanced automated machines available, this position runs programs for our automation. Some machine operators use lasers that cut our metal and others are literally building a circuit board. If you have no experience, let us know. We can either try to train you right away or let you get your feet wet in the company and see if you are a good fit for that position later on. This position starts at $14.50/hr for light duty work with no experience and $16.50/hr for heavy duty work with no experience.
• Soldering Tech: If you have experience in soldering, we are interested in you. If you don\xe2\x80\x99t but you are great with your hands (arts, crafts, etc.), this may be something that you can pick-up pretty quickly. We\xe2\x80\x99ll train you how to solder electronic components onto circuit boards. The position is light duty with minimal physical limitations. This position starts at $15.50/hr with no experience, but experienced soldering techs can earn more.
